Apple – iWatch

While only rumored, word is Apple has filed for patent protection of a watch having a flexible or curved glass face.  Although the details are scarce, some bits of information have apparently slipped out suggesting the iWatch design has several built in biometric sensors because of its significant emphasis as an iPhone compatible (obviously) sports and fitness watch.  Release time, mid 2014.

Are there any risks of wearing a Smart Watch?

While we don’t have scientific data to back-up our assertion, our own tests have shown that close contact to the skin, for extended periods of time from a cell phone, caused what seems to be permanent localized hair loss on the limb at the direct point of contact. We aren’t certain the exactly cause from the technology standpoint (gsm vs. other wireless signal) but we’re curious if smart watches will produce a similar effect.

If the smart watch isn’t just another fad we see it becoming integrated with building and home security automation functions as well as integration with our automobiles.
