Looking to put together a Surround Sound system for your Great Room or Home Theater? Love to Grill outdoors but would enjoy it even that much more if you had some great music to listen to? Chances are good, just like turning on the gas grill is typically just the turn of a knob & press of a button, your music should come on just as easily?

Yamaha RX-V675 Review

In this review of the Yamaha RX-V675 we share our favorite reasons why we feel this is such a great overall home theater receiver. Now, as far as receivers go it’s price point does move up the scale a bit when compared against competitor an often time less feature packed units but for the money you get everything you need to keep the entertainment at peek performance.

5 Reasons why the Yamaha RX-V675 is our top pick for a home theater

#1  Surround Sound as big as a 7.2 system. If you want just a couple of speakers and 1 subwoofer the RX-V675 can handle that but if you want a full blown rocking surround sound then hook up 7 speakers and 2 powered subwoofers and wow now only yourself but all your friends and neighbors.

#2  Speaker out by the pool, grilling area, back yard etc.  All you have to do is pull 2 wires, a 16/2 speaker wire for 1 patio speaker on the right and a 2nd 16/2 speaker wire for the left channel speaker out back. We loved Proficient Audio for these speakers. Then connect to the Yamaha RX-V675 powered Zone 2 depicted in the image here and you have a concert in the back yard or soft background music when the mood sets in.

#3  Five HDMI input. The more gear you have the more connectivity you need. A TV Set-top box, a gaming console or 2, a Blu-Ray DVD player, or an online streaming device like Apple TV or Roku. 5 gives you plenty of room to grow.

#4 Network Connectivity. Love Pandora? How about playing it through your new receiver at anytime? Choose from any number of streaming online stations.

#5 The App.  Here’s where it all comes together, the App. Download the app to your smart phone or tablet and at the touch of a button you can listen to the music you want, where you want. Even Airplay from your Apple iOS device. Now how coolr is that?
